Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for your very quick visit, and the awards.
I know it is over a month since the gala, but I am still working through these , and the K&WVR pics. This was only a few seconds after www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/48176888
and the start of a very steep climb which caused the loco to 'overheat one of the bearings'...
Fortunately the two bank engines brought the train back...

I like this spot on the railway, for the very reasons you have mentioned. Always a lot of smoke and steam as trains attack the steep gradient. And hardly anybody else goes there!
