Gut getarnt: Großer Blaupfeil - Well camouflaged: Black-tailed skimmer

Hoch in einem fränkischen Weinberg, aber relativ weit vom Fluss Main entfernt, fand ich zahlreiche Libellen der Art Großer Blaupfeil (Orthetrum cancellatum). Mir ist rätselhaft, was diese Insekten in einem für sie untypischen Lebensraum suchten. Aufgrund der intensiven Blaufärbung dürfte es sich im Bild um ein Männchen handeln. High in a Franconian vineyard, but relatively far from the river Main, I found numerous dragonflies of the species black-tailed skimmer (Orthetrum cancellatum). It is puzzling to me what these insects were looking for in a habitat that is untypical for them. Based on the intense blue colouration, the photo is most probably of a male. A female animal is shown in my photo: black tailed skimmer.
