I was recently watching a DVD called Railways Forever by John Betjaman and thought, how he would have loved this amazing picture! The line of steam makes a great shot and you have caught it beautifully.
Best wishes,
Rosa.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn HilborneThank you so much!! Your thoughtful comment has made me very happy!!!
This is believed to be the steepest gradient on a preserved railway, and these are three little engines.. Unfortunately the blue one didn't make it back, one of the connecting rod bearings overheated, so they had to leave it where it was for a couple of hours to cool off...!

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to gezginruh clubThank you so much for your very kind comment here. Of course the train has to climb a very steep gradient here. These engines are really quite small.. the two at the back are just shunting engines, so it is a struggle/
I spent quite a bit of time here,, Talking to some nice people....!!
Love Peter

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteThank you so much for your enthusiastic visit here. This spot gets overlooked very often by photographers. In the morning a very nice gentleman called Barry was there, who just happened to be there two years ago! www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/44388228
In the afternoon, I was alone!
The weather was kind, so it was a good weekend. Loads of pics to go through!!

The whole weekend was very misty. Some shots worked, and a lot didn't, because of it.
I am so pleased that you like this one!
