Thank you so much! I had come across this little picnic site in December, almost by accident. The entrance is well protected so only cars (not caravans or tarmac lorries etc) can get in, so I figured at 4:00 on a winters morning there would be no one else there, and I was right! An ideal spot really!

Thank you so much for visiting, and for your wise words. Most of England was covered by clouds, so those of us fortunate to live in appropriate places made some effort, and it paid off.
I am very happy that you like it. The truth is that this is our winter, so the trees have no leaves, and so yes, we see the stars. In fact tree and stars are the original picture, the EXIF you can see above. I think the occasional extraneous spot is a defective pixel or something, but thanks for looking so carefully!!!.

excellent, you are Lucky. Here we had a snowstorm that night. For me, the next one will be may 2021. Fortunately, I saw many others in the past, with one when I heard a great horned owl. And the barn owl, Lucky two times.
