Hello Peter a lovely shot indeed here of the class 700 ... and an interesting one too as 700108 was the first unit in service on the new Thameslink network it appears

Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for the visit and for the information. I did not know that this was the first!
I had a ride on one of these last week, as I had to go to the Royal Institution in London for work. I will say that they are very 'passenger friendly'.
Also some of the East Coast Main Line services now run through to Gatwick airport, via St Pancras, which is a great help!!
