Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love)
With the now politically incorrect original lyrics Lee Morse sings “Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall In Love)” from 1928, the year Cole Porter composed the song for the 1929 musical “Paris”. This was Cole’s first Broadway hit.
In 1929 “Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall In Love)” reached the top ten for Paul Whiteman and The Dorsey Brothers Orchestras but it was the version by Irving Aaronson and His Orchestra with vocalists Phil Saxe and Jack Armstrong that proved more popular when it peaked at number five.
