The Estuary

The Estuary
Taken at low tide on a reasonably sunny day. This is only a 10 minute walk from where my daughter lives and is always worth a visit.

Please view large, if you have the time. There is a view from a slightly different perspective in the PiP too. Thanks for looking.

Well put Jaap............thank you. Normally this mud and sand would be full of birds, but not at this time of year!

Beautiful shot, especially viewed large. Do you know what the large white building is in the background? Love the PiP also Keith. Another excellent perspective.

I'm pretty sure the building is Lympstone Manor........a really posh hotel.

I can imagine the tide racing in faster than a man can run Keith
This is a lovely capture and the light is beautiful, particularly on the sandbar,
I also like the pip, especially the grassy mound.

I expect you're right Roger (and definitely faster than my old legs can run)............but I prefer it when the tide is out, it always leaves such cool patterns in the sand and mud, and the grasses always look very attractive.

I'm glad you like this pair of images..........and thanks for your kind comments.

A nice pair of shots here Keith and I must say that I prefer the PiP capture best, like Roger, but all a matter of personal opinion really.

Carry on the good work. Herb

Thank you kind sir..........as always, much appreciated. I thing you're right about the PiP - I should probably have made it the main image (but I suppose it doesn't really matter)!

Here the two perfectly placed yellow buoys catch the eye! Your photos of the estuary are all fabulous, the tides makes them so different and interesting.

Ha, ha.........it took me ages to roll those buoys over there :-)))

It's a lovely place and only a short walk from my daughter's home...........I'm pleased you like the photos Gudrun. Much appreciated.
