Oh dear!
My attempts to replace my very old (comfortable) walking boots with other footwear have time and time again given similar result. I admire your ability to not just notice an opportunity but actually take that candid shot.

When I find a good pair of walking boots, normally buy two pairs and wear both in, then I always have a spare :-)

The trick to candid shots is just to behave naturally and get the shot as soon as you see it. Most times people never even notice. If someone asks what I'm doing I'll show them the photo and if they're not happy I delete it in front of them. If they like it, I'll offer them a copy. I avoid taking shots of children t hough, for obvious reasons.

I wonder if the socks were a problem? I have old and comfortable boots, but if I wear the wrong socks ...... And the skinny jeans obviously fit under the boots, so maybe it was jeans material that aggravated the heel area. Or it could be the fault of the boots. ;-)))

It's possible Amelia...........I just normally wear thin cotton socks and I've rarely had a problem. Jeans of any kind are OK for casual strolls, but not for proper walking!

A perfect candid shot!
The boots look well worn so I guess either the socks are too bulky for the bootss or the leather has "moved" over time and created folds in the wrong place....
I had the latter happen a few times, shoes I have worn for years suddenly cause blisters, it's good-bye to the shoes then.
Good hiking boots from a good specialist maker though should never cause such problems if you don't buy them too small;-)

Une chaussure mal adaptée probablement..je plains souvent les personnes qui font le chemin de Compostelle.Ils doivent endurer des moments trés difficiles avant que leurs pieds se soient endurcis.Je pense aussi aux militaires(surtout aux anciens) Par ex,les soldats de Napoléon qui se rendaient en Russie à pieds. BRBR, j'en ai mal aux orteils.Peut être est ce pour celà que tu avais opté pour la marine ? Bonne semaine à toi.
