Topsham always feels a world away from Exeter and the M5 to me Keith....until you point out how close it is :-) A fabulous shot. I remember that little lock cottage. I had heard that it was going to open as a cafe. I see that the shutters are closed, so it either hasn't happened or it's closed for winter!

Glad you like the shot Rosa...........I had no idea it was a lock cottage. I've always thought it was abandoned. Looking close up you'll see some chairs in the front and maybe a picnic table, but I don't remember ever seeing anyone there. I'll try and find out next time I visit.

Always good to see these estuary views Keith. A long way from the M5, thank goodness. Well done.

Perfect composition and the lower light levels gives the image a wonderful atmosphere, we used to visit here but with the coming of M5 we like just crawl on past like the majority,
Incidently, the plan to throw all the A303 traffic onto the M5 at Junction 25 appears suicidal to me,

I don't use the A303 if I can possibly avoid it........I've always thought it was a death trap and as for merging it into the M5.......complete madness!

Thank you beverley...........I'm pleased you like it. I'm really lucky to live close to both the sea and the countryside. If I had the choice (and the money) I'd definitely live closer to the sea though.
