On the thumbnail it looked lke abstract art! A wonderful photo, the bark looks as if it was decorated with little fir trees and the frame of autumn leaves is lovely. The DoF in the PiP is spot on!

Das ist immer schön zu sehen,dass du die Natur auch immer beobachtest und in einen Wald bibt es ja echt die schönsten Motive lieber Keith,ich finde diesen Birkenstamm im Hauptbild sehr schön dekoriert mit den Blättern im Wald und auch deine Pip Aufnahme ist mit diesen Details sehr schön :))

I must admit I had to look at it for a bit before I saw this bark pattern that once recognised is so obvious. Unlike me nowadays, you still walk around with your eyes open. Well done.

What a gorgeous picture Keith. It's like a forest window with tall trees in a snowy landscape....it's not just me is it! ;-) I also love the PiP for the detail and focusing. Against the bokeh background it looks quite magical.
