Thank you Isabel. It is a lovely little place from which to operate a dive boat, especially in conditions like this. I am not sure that the little potter, Josa, was working though, as she seemed to be on a trailer with the pots piled inside.

Wie Edna schon sagte, muss das kleine Boot aus Deutschland sein. Auch der Ort hat einen deutschen Namen Stein = Stone ;-))
Eine schöne Landschaft und tolle Farben! HFF und ein friedliches Wochenende, Carol!

;-)) Spooky isn't it? Stein means the same in Gaelic but it is supposed to have derived from the Norse word, and the identification shows the boat as registered in Broadford, (as well as the Federal Republic of Germany!!!)

Stein was intended to be the site of a fishing port designed by Thomas Telford, but lack of enthusiasm from the local crofting community and poor management meant it ran out of money and very little was built, the land eventually being sold off. It does however boast the oldest pub on Skye (and probably the beer is drunk from steins!!!) ;-))
