Fine composition and wonderful light in these superb images, an unusual bench built from Bridgwater bricks which is very apt as they were one of the main exports from these docks when they dealt with sea going ships.

Thank you Isabel. It is only 5 minutes from home so probably don't need to sit and rest here. A cushion is definitely recommended for other visitors though!!

As Roger said there were brickyards all around the town and Bridgwater brick was well known, the bricks being brought to the docks for distribution by boat. The brick benches are a link to the past

Thank you Isabel. Roger's stepfather was a foreman on one of the brickyards and their house was on site. Roger often rode up and down in the back of the lorries as a child so it is all very familiar to him

It is only minutes from home fortunately and a good starting point for a short walk

Thank you Markus. Made from Bridgwater brick that was once a major industry in the town with many brickyards in the town and surrounding area. They were shipped out from the docks so a nice link with the past. Now if we were also famous for making cushions that would make the benches more comfortable!!!
