Golden glow from ripening barley and fig tree foreground (best on large).

Another shot of the view from the garden. I reckon the figs will be ripe in about a month ("sooner than that" says my brother-in-law and he will probably be right; I was thinking of my 4 fig trees in my London garden years ago!).

Andy Rodker club has replied to Jenny McIntyre clubYes, I think so.
When I had fig trees, I think I had 2 different types, but I can't rememebr the variety names, nor their growth specifics, except that one definitely did as you say! In fact the fruit appeared, in winter, long before the leaves but when it became ripe, I can no longer recall (perhaps July? with the other type a bit later) - I do recall though that the fruit was green on one and purple on the other.
This tree has a lot of immature fruit but somehow I didn't catch more than a couple in this shot!
Andy Rodker club has replied to Mario Vargas clubLes figues sont déjà mûres chez nous.
Bonne journée.
Andy Rodker club has replied to Malik Raoulda clubYes, it depends on the variety! I had an early ripening variety in my garden in England which enjoyed a sunny spot!
Since it has been so warm, the figs also thrive here in the Allgäu on the northern edge of the Alps...

Andy Rodker club has replied to ©UdoSm clubI recently learnt that figs are one of the fruit, along with bananas, pineapple, cherries and grapes, that I shouldn't eat due to their high sugar content (I'm diabetic). But I will make an exception for figs as I love them so much ... in moderation of course!
Bonne journée. Amitiés
Andy Rodker club has replied to Madeleine Defawes clubThis photo is particularly personal - and really beautiful! This perspective, accompanied by fig trees, is really inhabited by you. And this is what I have been trying to achieve for years through photography (before it was drawing, then music...!)
Andy Rodker club has replied to Eric Desjours clubMaybe I'm reacting to a more limited range of opportunities as 1) I am no longer able to drive (Brexit nonsense is the cause of that!) and 2) my girlfriend lives on the other side of Madrid and we try to spend quality time together whan we can, which doesn't at the moment involve travelling outside the city (partly because I am immune - compromised and even catching the weaker Omicron virus could have bad results for me - effectively I still have to self-isolate if at all possible!).
But basically, I really don't know why my photos have changed, if indeed then have! It will give me 'food for thought' anyway!

Beautiful image, Andy
Andy Rodker club has replied to J.Garcia clubI don't ever recall the smell of figs to be that intense but that could just be me! Anyway I certainly can't smell it now, post Covid!
Bonne soirée Andy.
Andy Rodker club has replied to Jocelyne Villoing clubI suppose it could be like a dream but if you see this view a 100 times a day then it's reality! (But of course a pleasing reality!)
