A shot taken from the opposite direction to the shot recently posted of the house from the road down there. Shot taken from the middle terrace, overlooking the lower terrace, part of the back garden and part of the vegetable and fruit garden.

Low sun evening light, and I reckon we've had an average of two storms a day in the past 2.5 weeks. Highly unusual, especially in late Spring / early Summer. And yet they don't bring much, if any, of the prayed-for sustained heavy rain.
Perhaps better on large for countryside detail, even though the mountains are obscured by cloud.

The storm and storm cloud seen here had been above us about 15 minutes beforehand and with almost tornado-like gusts of wind! All the garden furniture was scattered around the neighbours' gardens and we acquired a fair sprinkling of theirs!

Fog in the Jarama Valley. The Sierra de La Cabrera can be seen in all its craggy but tiny extent. To the left is the brooding hulk of Mondalindo which is not granite and therefore much more rounded. Usually the mountains would be snow covered up till May but not this year.
