No, Isabel. As much as I love gardening (and won prizes for my garden in London!), my brother-in-law is insanely jealous of his garden and won't let me even help him with the watering and so on! That's been Ok when I wasn't physically up to it but I'm now getting twitchy, seeing what could be done here!
Oh well! I shouldn't really complain and he does a fairly good job. But it's such a large garden (gardens in fact) that he should really get some help from me!

This garden is amazing, Andy. I can see that your brother-in-law will need extra help to keep all these plants healthy. He's probably concerned that you don't overdo things and get ill again.

He's more concerned that I might try and steal his thunder, Jenny!
But all that aside, he really does a very good job, but then he's retired and so has the time!

In my youth I was in England three times and admired with how much love people created their gardens.

My brother- in-law admires my mother's garden in Cornwall, Reinhard but this is very definitelely Spanish!

to be honest, the singer was not known to me also, however someone of my age still remebers the melody that we could hear every day in the radio ( charts)!

Actually I had an upbringing that consisted mainly of classical music until I rebelled and went into Hendrix and so on. Later I learnt to appreciate the best of both worlds but I still can't handle most opera and all C&W music!

I do love the typical English garden.

It is a very different composition to have the very thing most people would remove become the focal point. Interestingly I bought a bright pink watering can yesterday, in the shape of an elephant.. An idea for next time!.
