Hi Jenny,
We get Spring greens in the grasses and the crops then very suddenly (usually the first week of June) the temperature rises, the rain ceases and everything dries to a burnt stick! The temperature today was 37ºC, tomorrow is forecast at 39ªC and Sunday at 41ªC. So well into the 100s fahrenheit! But it's a dry heat and therefore I can tolerate it!

The oleander has been blooming for at least a month. It flowers all through summer too. It is used ad nauseam by motorway planners to line roadways for 100s of kilometers and in truth it gets a bit monotous. But as a garden plant used in moderation, it has its place!
