The River Medlock in Winter

The River Medlock in Winter
A favourite walk not far from my home here in Oldham, this area always looks nice in these conditions and lighting like this. The river today is very high after weeks of heavy rain. This morning we have some snow instead.

Enjoy large.

Hi Peter, I am sorry that you don't have such weather there, I would hate never to see weather like this every year, despite our average terrible dull wet normal stuff. This is just a couple of miles from home and a place I have now all my life but it did not used to be like this at all. it was originally overgrown swamps then a golf course before it was turned into a country park (sort-off). The snow was all gone some three hours later!

A lovely snowy scene and composition, Herb. After our horror summer, it would be marvellous to have weather like this. (Actually, up in the mountains they do).

Good to see you George and especially nice that you got so much out of my very limited snowy Winter shots here. I know that there is usually snow up in the Charlotte Pass near Sydney. Hope that things are getting back to normal now.
