A Fort William fence

HFF, Herb und ein schönes Wochenende! Ja schön! Es erinnert mich an eine Wanderung auf den Ben Nevis! :-)

Ah yes Lothar, this is the normal weather here. Even when it is good everywhere else, this is the standard weather here. I am amazed that anybody ever gets t the top of that mountain as it is usually shrouded by mist and rain.

The flat water requires a long pier, it seems.

I think there is some fishing establishment on there. You see it here in low water. O have never been on it.

some years ago we had a very nice stay in Fort Williams, nice memories. This year we will visit Scotland again and maybe also Fort Williams

Thanks Ko. Fort William itself is not known for its beauty. In fact, I think it is one of the ugliest small towns in the country with its best side towards the loch being entirely cut off by that monstrous main road that one simply cannot cross. On the other hand -this town is set in one of the most scenic places in Scotland and is a great gateway to the mountains and Lochs alike. I think the best place to stop when visiting here therefore must be in the Ben Nevis camping sites in rare good weather. Other than that , in many of the nearby hamlets. - Have a great time!!!

I really like this very horizontal lines themed picture.

The red and white on the pier is a nice focal point out of the mist. (Is it actually words, or just random bits of sheeting, I can't make it out)

Thanks Peter. I am glad you recognised the technical aspects of this picture. All the reds on there are doors with the off red lifebuoy, between of which are darker windows. Some kind of industry and/or as Roger says a diving school too.
