I love that lone tree...............imagine the weather it's had to withstand over the years!

The light on the tree and the rocky outcrop is quite lovely, despite the dark skies and you captured the detail wonderfully. The sheep is a nice bonus!

A superb image Herb!

Thanks Keith. I am pretty certain that I have never captured this tree before as it is hidden from my normal routes. I did take a number of shots and some, other views look quite nice too but I know it does not do to post too many on Ipernity at once. You also know that like our mutual Ipernity friend 'Toz' (see below) I do love a lone tree. Yes, this shot won out because of the sheep in shot too making a nice balance. Great that you enjoyed it so.

Love the tree Herb know it well I think the sheep just makes it perfect I feel at home. I have put a tree on but it is not a competition I will not put anymore trees on for the foreseeable future.

Hi Toz, I had not come across this tree before and so was very happy how it came out. Like the ones on the limestone pavement that you have caught -they always make a great picture. The added sheep gives this a boost too. Please don't refrain from putting more lone trees here. Ipernity is big enough for both our tree selections.
