Marsden, its valleys and reservoirs


A look down the valley from the top of three reservoirs in a row here. I am actually stood on the dam wall of Wesseden, with the one below, Blakeley, just out of sight tucked in the valley and the one we can see is the bottom reservoir called Butterley. Beyound that is the large West Yorkshire village of Marsden. A three mile hike from that reservoir to here. In this cold 4C windy weather, its a good job we have brought a flask of hot coffee!
