Post Box Yarn Bombing

Some of you may know that this year is our monarch's 70th year on the throne. There will be various events celebrating this over the next 6 or 7 months. I don't normally take much notice of this sort of thing but I spotted this decorated post box and couldn't resist taking a couple of photos. (See the PiP for a close up).
For those who have never heard of Yarn Bombing here is a link to explain: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yarn_bombing
Have a good day and an enjoyable weekend. Thanks for looking :-)

Keith Burton club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubI don't remember ever taking part in a street party, but I was involved in the Queen's Silver Jubilee review of the fleet onboard HMS Brighton..........back in the days when we had a fleet..!!

Keith Burton club has replied to Günter Klaus clubI had no idea you were a retired postman. To me it looks like a hard job.........out in all weathers, carrying heavy bags, dodging vicious dogs etc :-))
Günter Klaus club has replied to Keith Burton clubKeith Burton club has replied to Günter Klaus clubThe post office here in England used to be the envy of the world............now it is run down, nearing bankruptcy, and totally inefficient. It's probably going to be sold to a company from the Middle East, which makes me really angry..!!
