Leigh Park Gardens

Leigh Park Gardens
Taken a week or so ago during a walk in the Sir George Staunton Country Park (known locally as Leigh Park Gardens). This is the "Chinese Bridge" which leads from the footpath to a small island in the lake. Built in 1833, the brickwork is original with the woodwork having been refurbished a few years ago.

Thank you very much Rosa.............this place is only a 10 min drive from my house and it's a lovely place to spend an hour or two (with plenty of benches for Jackie too). The also have a nice café and super cakes :-))

The bridge would look better if there wasn't a black litter bin next to it, but it's not too noticeable at a distance!

Glad you approve David. I'm lucky that this place is only a 10 min drive from my house and it's a lovely place to spend an hour or two with plenty of different walks and a lovely lake.

The 12-100 lens is a great all-rounder.
