The Medieval Gallery, Dunster, housed in what was once an old medieval inn, now specialises in work by living artists and crafstmen taking inspiration from the Middle Ages. They create paintings, sculptures, stained glass and illumination, jewellery and the gallery also has a brass rubbing centre,

It also holds arms and armour, antiques, pottery, curios and medieval style textures and furniture reproductions.

Thank you very much Judite. I hope we can get to go inside and look for ourselves when we next visit. It is Britain’s only gallery of fine art inspired by the Middle Ages. It fascinates me that the artists use materials and methods that were used in Medieval times.

The building itself dates back to c1323 and it was originally the 'George Inn'
