Beauty and Ruins

Captured at Southerness junction, I could find no record of what the ruins were but I loved the way they caught the light and the tree almost seemed to be hugging them.

Many thanks to Beulipix who kindly searched and found that this ruin was in fact Wreaths Tower
and who sent me the link to the history. I very much appreciate this after failing to discover this information in my searches.

Thank you very much Esther. We had gone to try to get photos of the old Southerness lighthouse, but the place was full of caravan parks and people, with nowhere to park so we gave up. On the way back we saw this beautiful ruin on a road junction and I went back to take some photos

Thank you very much * ઇઉ *. Seeing this ruin being 'hugged' by the tree was a bonus. We wanted a photo of Southerness lighthouse but when we got there it was really busy and full of people and caravan and camping sites, so we didn't stop. We came across this on the way back which more than made up for it.
