Herzlichen Dank, Udo! Im südlichen Hochland ist wegen der höheren Luftfeuchtigkeit ganz viel mit Zackemützenmoos bewachsen, im Norden wird's deutlich grauer.

Thanks very much, Keith! I had wanted to see Laki for quite a while, it's not easy to get there, only big 4x4, preferably organized tours-but it was worth it! And we were lucky with the weather!

Thanks a lot, Andy! Theoretically yes, but the Laki ash was very toxic (fluoride) and this is in the highlands where nothing much grows because of the climate. THe "roads" are only open in summer, usually late June/ early July until the first snow in early September.
