Vielen Dank, Christa! Bei Getreide allenfalls ein klein wenig Gerste, Gemüse wird in mit Geothermie beheizten Gewächshäusern angebaut. Die Wachsturmsperiode ist wegen des Klimas sehr kurz.

Thanks very much, Amelia! That's why the farms are there:-) But it's still not without risks, this area is surrounded by lava flows, after the Laki eruption 40% of the inhabitants around there starved to death.
