After the sometimes stark and dramatic beauty of your earlier photos this one is much softer and gentler............I love the curves of the grassy slopes and the contrasting rock formations. Both looking beautiful under the blue sky. Quite a different ambience but just as beautiful.

Thanks very much, Keith! There are small strips of green along the coasts, mainly used for grazing or hay. With climate change even trees (arctic species) start growing taller now though the highlands will stay bare, at least in the near future.

Bei uns gibt es keine Heizung bis zum 15.en Oktober. Dies Jahr spricht man von eine Woche später. Da braucht man sicher 2 Wollpullis übereinander .

Bei uns hatte es diese Woche nachts nur noch 2 Grad, in der Wohnung morgens 16.... Ich habe schon 2 Wollpullis und Fleecejacke an;-) Ich habe Gas-Etagenheizung, da kann ich selber entscheiden, wann die Heizung angemacht wird. Nächste Woche muss ich sie mal kurz anwerfen, der Kaminkehrer kommt zur Abgaswegeuntersuchung.

It's always strange to find sea cliffs inland. These are lovely against the pure blue of the sky. We have seen inland sea cliffs in France, studded with beautiful maritime flora.
