You are right, she was doing selfies with the sunflowers, and also pictures of the sunflowers. Your comment reminds me of when I first saw 'selfie sticks'. It was a Japanese tour group, and they were down at almost ground level (and pointing skywards) when not actually taking a picture of the owner. I thought they had been designed for taking pictures up ladies skirts!
