Yes, it was a complete surprise.. Just a normal walk, sat on the bench for a while waiting to see if the owl would come, take some fence pictures, continue walking past the lovers bench.. Then "Ah a baby horse today!"

After I got home the owner then found out, so the baby can't be very old here!!

I know nothing more about how old the baby was, except to say that news travels fast on the village facebook site, and nobody had mentioned it when I got back home..
Of course I gave the horses a wide a berth as possible, but they are extremely docile. I hope the baby is happy now that we have just had a massive rainstorm!
