Good that you enjoyed this Christien. I know that you are a great fan of these misty scenes, which in a way, we both share in our parts of the world. The mountains are simply our Pennine moors. The two pictures were taken on the same day's walk.

Good that you have found another to tickle your fancy Toz. I used to use a few of my Panoramio favourites for my desktop wallpaper too. Now I use mainly my flight sim adventure screen captures or my new electronic landscape maker ones. Mind - I feel honored that you feel my photo is worthy of your daily screen time my friend.

Every time i think I've seen one of the best of your photos, you pull another one out of the bag!

This is wonderfully atmospheric and the mist and clouds just glow in the shadows. The light on that patch of land on the right is just stunning and has brought out the lovely autumnal colours of the foliage.

Well Keith, I have almost run out of thanking paragraphs to write here for you. Maybe it is enough to know that I love to share what I think is the best of my landscape photography with you. I do like to try and capture mood, mainly by lighting with landscapes and I was happy to do that here. All the ingredients came together on that day and I am happy that I can still continue to bring fresh nice photos of that shoot even twelve months on. Will I get the same this year -time will tell. Good too that you remembered the main other one I did there, in the PiP.

Ah your expression of reeking atmosphere reminds me of the old days of our thick smogs. When one could hardly breath without black bits being all over our hair and face, with that thick reek of burned soot after bonfire night. I know you mean something else here but, you know where I am coming from. Glad you liked it.
