Danger-Autumn has arrived.

An Autumnal look at one of my local reservoirs –Yeoman Hey. As the early autumn sun starts to peek over the moorland hills to the right, they light up the natural warm autumn colours of the trees and gives a little warmth to the water reflections too.
This dangerous set of fences guards the entrance to the inspection well on this pier. (A sign of our times perhaps!)
Deserves full screen.

Dams - waterways and how they all work.. have always interested me ... at 'Rivelin dams' where I spent much of my youth - is a water outlet.. it emerges from a tunnel .. 4.5 miles long from 'Ladybower' to feed Rivelin. ( information you didn't know, you didn't know ) !

Hi Dave. I must admit to having am interest in these matters too, as we share the same abundance of dams, reservoirs and underground water tunnel/pipes. You are right, I didn't know, that I didn't know about Rivelin :) I presume the wet dark weather will not put you off yet more walking in these parts. Have a gud-un.

Very nicely composed in gorgeous light Herb............the sky is very attractive and I also like the autumnal colours coming out in the trees. The blue tones in the water are lovely.

The starkness of the pier gate and fence are in complete contrast to the rest of the scene, which is what makes this shot so interesting.
