Pinot grigio – Pinot gris – Grauburgunder

Auch wenn diese Weintrauben rötlich gefärbt sind, sind es Weißweintrauben. Die relativ dünnen Beerenhäute haben zwar diesen auffallenden rötlichen Farbton, der aus ihnen gekelterte Saft bzw. der daraus entstehende Wein ist goldgelb gefärbt. Es handelt sich also nicht um Rotweintrauben. Der Grauburgunder-Wein ist aroma- und körperreich und relativ säurearm und vor allem ein guter Speisebegleiter. Auch als Esstraube ist diese Rebsorte gut geeignet. In Deutschland wird er in den letzten Jahren verstärkt angebaut und hat zur Zeit eine Anbaufläche von über 7 %.
