Die Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin ist wieder geöffnet - The New National Gallery Berlin is open again - PiP

Die Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, vom bedeutendsten Architekten der Moderne Ludwig Mies van der Rohe geplant und 1968 eröffnet, musste Ende 2014 schließen und generalsaniert werden. Am 19. August 2021 konnte das grundlegend instandgesetzte und technisch modernisierte Museum wieder für die Öffentlichkeit freigegeben werden.
Das Foto zeigt den Haupteingang der Neuen Nationalgalerie. Rechts steht das monumentale Kunstwerk "The Archer" von Henry Moore, geschaffen 1964/65. Hinter dem Museum steht in auffälliger Position ein Kunstwerk von Reinhard Friedrich "Têtes et Queue" (1968), siehe PiP.

The Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin (New National Gallery Berlin), planned by the most important architect of modernism Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and opened in 1968, had to close and undergo a general renovation at the end of 2014. On 19 August 2021, the fundamentally repaired and technically modernised museum was reopened to the public.
The photo shows the main entrance of the Neue Nationalgalerie. On the right is the monumental artwork "The Archer" by Henry Moore, created in 1964/65. Behind the museum stands in a conspicuous position a work of art by Reinhard Friedrich "Têtes et Queue" (1968), see PiP.
