Thee Midniters (lead singer Willie Garcia, George Dominguez and Cesar Rosas) recorded “Never Going To Give You Up” (Huff – Gamble – Butler) in late 1967 as a B side.
In April, 1968 Jerry Butler released “Never Give You Up” and peaked at number twenty on Billboard during the summer. The song appears on Jerry’s top thirty LP “The Ice Man Cometh” issued later that year.
