Freeway Of Love
Three-time Grammy winner Michael Walden was given the nickname "Narada" from an Indian spiritual leader and lecturer on Hinduism. As a drummer Narada has been involved with Jeff Beck, Chick Corea and Carlos Santana. As a producer he has worked with George Benson, Mariah Carey, Ray Charles, Whitney Houston and a further impressive celebrity list. This is his band performing "Freeway Of Love" (Jeffrey Cohen - Narada Michael Walden) at the Throckmorton Theatre in California. This was edited to include his drum solo.
The 1985 Aretha Franklin platinum top twenty LP "Who's Zoomin' Who?" was produced by Narada Michael Walden and includes the saxophone talents of the late Clarence Clemons from Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band on "Freeway Of Love". Here is the single mix of what was the lead track from the hit album. It peaked at number three on the Top One Hundred while topping both the R&B/Hip-Hop and Dance charts. The tune won Aretha a Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
