Goodbye

It’s been a fun ride for many years and the Ipernity administration has helped to make it that way. The potential threat of repercussions from copyright holders to this site and myself seem a possibility. My intuition is that these folk look at what they do as black and white while I think of what I post as a massive grey area. Through these many moons I have strived to make the posts as informative and factual while editing music from a multitude of venues. The audio has come from a wide variety of sources that I have not archived. This was an exercise in sharing information and the joy of all genres of music. Goodbye!

This is Paul McCartney's London home demo of "Goodbye" (Lennon - McCartney). The track was released on the 2019 deluxe edition of "Abbey Road".

In 1969 Mary Hopkin peaked at number thirteen on Billboard, number six Easy Listening and number two in the U.K. with "Goodbye". Mary is singing and playing acoustic guitar while Paul McCartney is on bass. The single was Apple's first picture sleeve.
