“Uti Skogen Skall Vi Gå” (Carmen Dello – Theresa Dello) was first recorded in 1950 by Sweden’s Pavel Ramel with Bibbi Johnson. During WW2 composer Carmen Dello (DelGiudice) conducted a military band that was considered the best in the U.S.

Johnny Desmond (Giovanni De Simone) issued the English version as “The Picnic Song” with The Ray Charles (Offenberg) Singers later that year and charted at number twenty with the Emmy winning Tony Mottola and His Orchestra.
