This is not so difficult a place to get to for me, but it has taken a very long time to be there with a full moon and clear skies. Usually the haze in the distance spoils it..
The first red glow appeared at 19:10, and by 19:13 it was fully over the horizon. I didn't think the moon looked right in red, so I made it B&W!

To be honest, the moon emerged red, and only turned yellow when a little higher in the sky. A red moon does not look right!! So, B&W!!

WOW!! Peter! what a terrific Job you did here! its a fantastic composition and I too like it in B/W... The detail on the moon is fascinating to me, I used to get some effects like that with an older camera, but with this newer one I have now, I can't get it like I want it:(( the whole photo is certainly a YS...:) its "over the moon" Peter ! :) Sarah
