perhaps the Hubble-Bubble pipe they have ( smoke drawn through water ) is being used as a pipe of peace :))

Perhaps it is um pipe of peace! No more war between um paleface tribes......... Time to bury um tomahawk.. Quite a thought sitting by the waters of the Sorpe reservoir.....

Thank you so much for visiting, and thinking so deeply.. It looks like Steve is our expert on 'strange smoking' here! Personally, I don't smoke in any way (or anything), so I have no idea whatsoever why they couldn't just go and buy a packet of fags like everybody else!

Thank you very much for your kind visit, and memory of Rorschach. The youths in Rorschach made a very rapid disappearance, as I remember! Perhaps they were smoking something they shouldn't have been! As for these nice young ladies, and their picnic on a sunny Sunday afternoon, who knows. It was certainly a nice spot for a picnic!!
Then a long trip through the villages to Kassel..

Thank you so much for this wonderful explanation. As I don't smoke, (anything!!) I have no idea.
It seems a very strange substitute for a packet of cigarettes from the tobacconists! Maybe there is something more in the burning mixture...MMM!
At least they are enjoying the afternoon peaceably without vandalising something, or killing anybody!
