Chew Reservoir fences

Chew Reservoir fences
As mainland Europe swelters in another unnatural heatwave, here are a couple of local photos to cool you down, taken a few days ago. It’s one of my local reservoirs just a 15 minute car ride and then an hours hike to the top of these Saddleworth Moors. As can be seen, the water levels are down here too after our droughts earlier in May and June but all is back to normal again with our temperatures and rain. The PiP (adjacent photo) shows a wider view.

Enjoy the weekend

By enlarge, these things were made to much higher standards than they are today. No doubt today it would be made in solid concrete with giant cracks appearing after 25 years.

Enjoy this wet weekend. HFF
