Sparrow on fence
“Mummy, it’s awfully high up here!”
Seen from my house window, looking down on our panel fence. Behind, is a pine tree that our sparrows like to nest in. There seems to be at least three of these young fledglings around, which considering the harassment that the sparrow family get from the many magpies, is very good.

Adorable little guy and nicely captured. House sparrows may be as common as the proverbial dirt, but I'm still fond of them.

Great to see you here again Sarah. As you say, pretty common around these parts but they are still charming in their little ways. These young ones are now making friends with the bird reflections in my car door mirror, much to the annoyance of its owner who has to wash down the mirror and door every few days :)
