A New Pink moon.

A New Pink moon.
Actually the second day of this new moon but it allowed me to go into the garden and practice my night photography. The Pink moon and the Super-moons occur when the moon is within 90% of perigee -- which is its closest approach to Earth in orbit.

great moon shot the colour shows it was shot quite low down in the earth atmosophere. nice amount of detail in the actual moon surface persistence pays off and trying to have a go. enjoy your Easter alone.

You are right Steve, it was still quite low on the horizon. As said to Keith above, a better lens would have been even nicer for this but...

Thanks George. That is our usual weather too. After five months of continuous bad weather, it has now warmed up and gone much clearer -of course we cannot go far t enjoy this. At least I can take shots like this from my window and garden.

A very nice picture, of the 'Pink Supermoon'.

I went out to see it too, from the local cemetery, suitably equipped with wooden stake just in case!! Photo will follow in due course!
