Canal walk at Sowerby Bridge
The nice thing about our British weather is that after weeks of none-stop rain and dullness it can suddenly come beautiful. Taking advantage f such a day we visited a small Yorkshire town mad famous by its canal and railway connections. Here we are on the wide 'Calder & Hebble Navigational' with the Copley Viaduct passing over us. Just to my right here is the River Calder too.

Hi Dave, aye it was a rare good day -maybe today too? We had never been to Sowerby Bridge before and so it was a good chance. The canal basin here is very interesting and the canal itself quite different from our local Huddersfield Narrow, as it quite wide. A lot of pictures taken but not many will see the light of day I am afraid. (You know the feeling too I expect.)

I think you know that I love such places and walks, even though I envy your South American mountains too. The light was everything.

Hi again Toz. You will now then what an interesting place Sowerby Bridge is. A great time too to walk around Langsett Reservoir. I have never been to that one but I see now that it is only a bit further from the Woodhead resr where we were the other week. Look forward to your pics too.
