Coffee and Cake Diversion

It is indeed Dan............it narrowed down to a single-track road though, and I was unable to stop and take more photos without blocking the way, which was annoying, The coffee and cake made up for it though :-)

Thanks Ulrich............I'm quite famous in my family for taking "mystery tours" (which simply means I got lost, but won't admit it).

A very nice shot Keith,..and story,.. I agree (above) using the car can be limiting when wanting to stop to snap a particular view,.. it happens a lot with me... I sometimes use the bus pass to get out places.. so far I've never got stranded !..... // Cheers from > Dj.

We both have bus passes and some free local rail travel (as I used to work on the railway), which is great, but a lot of the places we like to go are not well-served by public transport, so for the time being I'll have to keep the car.

Yes I love it when that happens Keith. There are some beautiful and interesting places off the beaten track. Did you know that Hambledon is the home of England's oldest commercial vineyard? One interesting fact when I looked the village up, and there are more. Still a lot of autumn colour along this lovely country road. A very attractive shot.

I didn't know about the vineyard........in fact, we haven't been around Hambledon much at all. That will change when the weather gets warmer again though. I'll obviously have to do some research!

Cold and grey here today, so we've decided to have a day indoors being lazy!
