Fire Damage

Fire Damage
I had an hour to spare yesterday morning while my wife was out, so I took a quick drive to Hayling Island where I came across a piece of land about 100m from the beach which had obviously been on fire recently. Luckily it was only a small patch and had not spread very far. It left behind some burnt branches which really stood out against the undamaged foliage, which I thought would make a good photo.

Best viewed large, on black. thanks for looking.

I'm pleased you think so Jean Paul...............I hope you're right. I'll have a another look next time I visit to see if there are any signs of recovery.

Edit 24th September...........no signs of recovery :-(

A shame about the fire, but it makes a great picture Keith! I guess it happened during the hot summer!

I'm pleased you like this one Rosa.............thanks very much. You could be right - it's very close to where the skate-park is where the teenagers hang out at night (not that I'm pointing any finger of course)!

I can only echo Rosa- the burnt branches make for a briliant abstract!

Thank you Gudrun. I went back this afternoon to see if the burned area was regenerating, but sadly not. Maybe next spring!
