Grackle, finally

Grackle, finally
I've heard of grackles for years and knew there are regular bunches of them all year round in this town. But I never saw one until today when this fellow visited, took a peanut, ate it on a telephone pole, sat for a quick portrait, here, and left again. Very nice of him to stop for me to get the camera.

Beautiful color contrast and composition, JustFolk. And the bird's inquisitive pose while the passerby go about their business is very interesting.
