Spring snow


There's a common saying here: "Good thing we don't live here for the weather." Said with a nod to the present weather, whatever it is.
I guess even the snowbirds feel that way. In the snow, the juncos, snowbirds my father's generation always called them, are the first out. And they don't mind a gob of snow in their feathers. This fellow and his mate have been picking through peanuts on our deck all morning, through our May 22nd snowfall.
