The Rose in the harbour, 1995

In early August 1995 several of the so-called Tall Ships arrived for a few days in port in St. John's and the Rose was one of them. It was built in 1970 but as a replica of a 16th century craft.

At the time, 1995, this was a training ship for naval cadets or the like in the USA military service. I understand it was later sold to some California outfit that made movies.

I'm still trying to catch up on my negative scanning. I'm doing them chronologically and today I reached August 1995. :)
