Effectivement le mur semble s’arrêter brutalement au bord du vide ! Je ne comprends pas la présence de ces murs si ce n'est qu'autre des clôtures de pâturage mais pourquoi dans ce cas ne pas protéger le vide aussi ! Ceci dit, votre photo est superbe, Carol **** Passez une bonne journée !

;-))) I think the lighthouse is fine where it is Edna. The wall on the other hand looks ready to slip into the sea!! Can you imagine building that so close to the edge?!! It is a very steep cliff!!

Thank you very much Guni. It is a popular location especially in nice weather and it is good to be able to wonder around outside. The views from up there are amazing, but I am always scared of getting too close to the edge!!

Thank you very much Stephan. I am not sure to be honest. I think it is just marks the perimeter of the land around the lighthouse as any animals are in the field below.. I can't quite understand why this wall seems to fall off the edge of the cliff, but the lighthouse is built on cliffs 260 feet high, so you may imagine it is quite a drop. It was built by Robert Stevenson. Work commenced in 1828 and it took 2 years to build. The light was first lit in 26th March 1830.

Lovely shot Carol. I love the strong contrasts enhancing the textures of the rock and creating nice shadows on the lower part of the cliff. Have to say I would not have wanted to be the person who place the last stones in the cliff end of that lovely wall.
