And the songs match the photo and the season perfectly well. I can imagine how you must feel...no Queen's Speech on Christmas Day after all those decades! One almost thought that Queen had always been there and always would be. But just like in that song...the show must go on, so let's give King Charles a chance ;-)

I hope you are all ready for Christmas. My daughter thought she was but her online shop was less than helpful. They substituted sweet potatoes for Maris Pipers, blackcurrant for lime (not good in her snowballs!!) and instead of sprouts they sent a tin of baked beans!! Her chicken had a use by date of 23rd, the next day!) A friend of hers ordered some face cream and received turnips!!! maybe the packer had been on the sherry or didn't get to do secret Santa this year!!!!

What a Christmass mess!! This cracks me up, but I'm sure the people concerned felt less happy about it. It just sounds like one of those crazy Christmas movies, lol. So much for online shopping!! I've done it before, not often though, but they always delivered what I had ordered. Well, it wasn't around Christmas, so that might have been why. And the sherry and secret Santa are perfectly sensible explanations for that mix-up!! ;-))))))

Well my daughter had to make a trip to the supermarket to get the missing items and exchange her chicken but she did see the funny side of it. I am not sure what the turnips did for her friend's skin though!!!

AS A CHILD ALL HAD TO BE CLEARED AFTER CHRISTMAS DINNER.. TEA MADE THEN ALL SAT AROUND THE LITTLE TV TO LISTEN TO THE QUEENS SPEECH !
